Identity lottery

I created an Arduino project, which allows one to change their identity. The idea was inspired by Heath Bunting’s Identity4U project where he suggests that one could have more than one identity if given a choice. Questioning my own identity as a black South African whose name was wrongfully perceived as difficult to pronounce or uneducated rather than rather than chosen for the right reasons, e.g. a positive personal development.

I began to think that perhaps a machine rather than a person with preconceived ideas that allows people the opportunity to change or manipulate their identities wouldn’t be a bad idea. The Machine would randomly select age, gender and nationality and you choose whether you are comfortable with it or not. Once you have confirmed whether you like it or not then you can go on to choose what ever name you feel suits you.
